Dr. Nika Jani founded One Care Medical with a distinct mission: to provide the rigorous, specialized care of a Board Certified Internist combined with the personal attention of a dedicated personal physician. Since 2004, she has focused exclusively on Internal Medicine, distinguishing her practice from general family medicine or urgent care by offering a level of depth designed to manage the complexities of adult health.
Dr. Jani is recognized for her ability to handle a wide spectrum of adult medical needs—from acute illnesses to complex chronic conditions—while maintaining an unwavering commitment to helping patients add years to their lives. She believes that adding longevity requires a proactive approach. Therefore, she integrates her specific expertise in weight management and metabolic health into her general practice, using these tools to attack the root causes of disease rather than just treating symptoms.
Unlike high-volume clinics where patients see different providers for episodic “quick fixes,” Dr. Jani attends to every patient herself. She views her patients as extended family, creating an environment where they can take comfort in knowing they have a primary doctor who understands their full medical history.
A longtime resident of Northern Virginia, Dr. Jani graduated medical school with honors in 1998 and completed her residency training at Drexel University’s Easton Hospital affiliate in 2006. There, she received multiple awards of excellence, cementing her commitment to the high standards of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Jani is unique in her dedication to continuity of care. She maintains active staff privileges at Potomac Hospital, often reviewing records and visiting her patients personally should they require hospitalization—a level of involvement rarely seen in today’s fragmented healthcare system. She is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association, The American College of Physicians, and The Medical Society of Virginia.
As a mother of three, Dr. Jani balances her compassionate bedside manner with a dedication to staying at the forefront of medical science, attending several National Medical Conferences annually. Outside the office, she remains actively involved in the local school system and community, serving her neighbors as both a friend and a physician.
